i am mariia martyshina ...
... a dedicated language teacher who finds ways to make the studying process engaging and fascinating. I’ve been working with students of various ages and backgrounds, including foreign students whom I also helped get used to life in a new country. My students have different goals: passing exams, travelling, developing careers, and self-development, and I am happy to help them grow.
I don’t like sticking to a particular program, and I create my own lessons, adjusting them to my students’ interests. All in all, I’ve developed more than 100 lesson plans for the English and Russian languages. I have lessons on Minecraft, Disney cartoons, Netflix series, historical mysteries, literature pieces, music genres, etc.
Having a Bachelor’s degree in Literature, I enjoy literature analysis, taking part in book clubs and online literature communities.

In a world shaped by conflict and displacement, I once worked with a Ukrainian refugee who struggled to communicate after fleeing her home. Through persistence and daily effort, she progressed from barely speaking English to enrolling in an accounting course in Scotland. What made this journey even more meaningful is that I am Russian. Despite the war between our countries, we chose cooperation over division. This experience reminds me that humanity can rise above politics.
