I’m Fatemeh Zahmatkesh…
… a dedicated Sociology student at Memorial University with a strong interdisciplinary foundation. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Engineering from Guilan University in Iran, followed by a Master’s in Applied Ecology through the prestigious Erasmus Mundus program. This program allowed me to study at the University of Poitiers in France and the University of Coimbra in Portugal, where I was honoured to receive a full scholarship.
Before transitioning to my current studies in Canada, I founded and led an environmental NGO, where I spearheaded initiatives that combined ecological sustainability with community engagement. My passion for education also led me to a role as a lecturer at Guilan University, where I shared my knowledge and advocated for environmental and social causes.
Passionate Advocate for Environmental Justice, Committed to Global Impact Through Education and Advocacy
My current focus is on exploring the intersection of environmental issues and social justice, with a commitment to making a meaningful impact both locally and globally. I am driven by the belief that education and advocacy are powerful tools for change, and I am excited to continue this work as I progress in my academic and professional journey.
