i am susan goli ...
... a dedicated researcher specializing in qualitative research with a focus on minoritized communities, inequality, and equity issues. My work spans both physical and online realms, where I gather and analyze data to uncover nuanced perspectives on representation and social dynamics. Proficient in data analysis software like NVivo and SPSS, I honed these skills during my MA thesis, which examined the online representation of racially minoritized groups in the United States.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, I also coordinate interactive workshops and serve as an assistant copyeditor for Symbolic Interaction Journal. My previous roles as a Research Assistant at Memorial University, The Collective Interchange, and the University of Tehran reflect my ability to synthesize complex information and deliver insightful analyses.
I have presented my research at several academic conferences, where I explored critical themes such as online framing and social mobility narratives. I hold a Master’s in American Studies and a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences, graduating summa cum laude and earning multiple awards for my contributions to academic and social initiatives.
