i am kathleen katruskha ...

... a dedicated Policy, Planning, and Research Analyst with a strong academic background in Political Science, currently pursuing my MA at Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador. As the Vice-President of Academic Affairs of the Political Science Graduate Students’ Society (PSGSS), I am committed to enhancing the academic experience and supporting my peers.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, majoring in Broadcasting, from Centro Escolar University – Philippines, where I consistently earned a place on the Dean’s List. Before joining Memorial, I spent over five years as a Senior Program Manager for the UK Government at the British Embassy in Manila, where I managed major counterterrorism and peace initiatives in the southern Philippines. My earlier experience as a Program Officer at the Office of the President of the Philippines involved significant work on ASEAN-related peace and security issues.

My professional journey has led me to a part-time role with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, where I contribute to the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat – Executive Council, focusing on policy development and intergovernmental collaboration. Additionally, I serve as the Managing Editor of Population and Security, an online magazine that addresses critical global issues related to population dynamics and security policies.
