Office

... an award-winning guzheng artist, ethnomusicologist, and educator devoted to fostering cultural exchange, artistic innovation, and advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in the arts. Passionate about breaking boundaries and creating inclusive spaces, I have dedicated my career to connecting traditional music with contemporary global sounds while advocating for underrepresented voices in the arts.

As a performer, I have shared my music on national and international stages, collaborating with artists across genres to celebrate cultural diversity. As an educator, I have delivered impactful lectures and workshops at universities and conferences worldwide. In my roles at arts organizations such as the East Coast Music Association and the Smithsonian Institution, I have worked to integrate EDI principles into programs and initiatives that empower marginalized communities.

My scholarship delves into the intersections of art, identity, and community, exploring how cultural traditions adapt and thrive in diasporic contexts. By combining academic research with real-world engagement, I aim to bridge cultural divides and spark meaningful dialogue through the universal language of music.

Whether mentoring emerging artists, collaborating on interdisciplinary projects, or championing EDI initiatives, my mission is to inspire connection, learning, and growth for all.
