I’m Maryam Masaeli…

… an accomplished professional with dual master’s degrees: a Master of Employment Relations from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master’s in Human Resources Management. My career spans strategic planning, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership, particularly focused on addressing social justice, gender equality, and women’s empowerment. This combination of education and experience has shaped my commitment to fostering inclusive environments that empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive.
Throughout my career, I have navigated unique challenges and experiences, contributing to my growth in both leadership and capacity-building roles. My work has involved coordinating mentorship programs, advocating for equity-deserving groups, and building networks that uplift women, gender-non-binary individuals, and other marginalized communities. I specialize in ensuring they have access to the tools and support needed to succeed.
My journey has equipped me with a broad set of skills—strategic and interpersonal—making me ready to take on new challenges. Developing with a passion for social justice and exploring innovative solutions, I strive to create lasting change in the nonprofit sector.

Championing Inclusive Leadership and Community Empowerment

As a Board Director and Secretary at Collective Interchange Co-operative, I work alongside a dedicated team to champion diverse leadership and community goals. I also collaborate with the Women’s Economic Council on the Accelerating Inclusion Training Program, which equips leaders with strategies to promote the inclusion of women and non-binary individuals in leadership roles.
